About Phillip (the human bit)

You know when you click "About" and it's just corporate fluff? Yeah β€” this isn't that. This is the stuff you'd normally learn over time… written down so when we talk, it already feels familiar.

If you're here, you probably like to know who you're dealing with

First things first: I'm not a corporate robot. I'm not reading from a script, and I won't try to "close" you on a call. I'm just a real person who genuinely cares about doing good work and making people feel comfortable while we do it. When we hop on a call, it'll feel more like a chat with someone who gets it β€” not a sales pitch. I like things to be relaxed, honest, and clear. No pressure, no weird tactics, just two people figuring out if we're a good fit to work together.

What it's like to work with me

Calls with me are relaxed. We'll chat through what you need, I'll ask a few questions, then I'll go away and build it properly. No pressure, no jargon dumping, no chasing me for updates β€” just clear communication and steady progress. If something's not right for you, I'll tell you. If it is, I'll be all-in until it's done properly.

How my friends would describe me.

β€’ "He's one of the only people I know who can actually say no when he needs to β€” he sticks to his morals and doesn't fold to pressure."

β€’ "I've known him for 14 years and genuinely, I've never seen him angry. Even when stuff goes wrong he stays calm and doesn't kick off."

β€’ "He's got zero interest in drama β€” doesn't gossip, doesn't chat behind people's backs, just stays out of it."

Outside of work

Outside of building websites, I work two jobs. I work part-time at Tesco in the evenings, and I also work part-time at a small local Chinese a few evenings a week. Working evenings is what gives me the time to build websites during the day. Most days I'll work on websites from about 8am to 4pm, then I'll do a 5-hour evening shift, and then I'll usually come home and do another 2–3 hours on websites after work. So yeah β€” at the moment, I basically just work. If I ever get to the point where websites bring in a stable, reliable income, I'd honestly love to leave the evening jobs and get some of my hobbies back. I'd love to go back to doing Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and boxing, and I'd love to play the piano more often too.
